Program Management

With over 15 years of experience in the role of a Creative Program Manager, I have successfully orchestrated and overseen large-scale, multi-faceted programs for both domestic and international product launches. These programs encompassed a diverse range of deliverables, such as branding, packaging design and production, website development, print collateral, tradeshow booths, videos, and much more. My role extended far beyond conventional project management to encompass strategic planning, cross-functional team facilitation, and client communication.

 

Program Planning and Execution:

At the core of my responsibilities as a Creative Program Manager was the meticulous planning and execution of multifaceted projects. This entailed defining clear steps, establishing realistic timelines, creating milestones, and defining deliverables. These activities were central to ensuring that the various elements of the program aligned seamlessly, delivering a cohesive and impactful product launch.

 

Cross-Functional Team Facilitation:

One of the key aspects of my role was facilitating communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams. This involved working closely with creative services, developers, printers, and production partners. By fostering an environment of open dialogue and cooperation, using change-management techniques, I ensured that all stakeholders were aligned with the program's objectives, timelines, and quality standards.

 

Client Engagement and Communication:

Effective client communication was a pivotal component of my work. I consistently kept internal and exterior clients informed and updated on the progress of their programs. This involved regular status updates, milestone reviews, and addressing any concerns or modifications to the project scope. This commitment to transparency and client satisfaction was essential for building long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships.

 

Efficient Workflow Development:

To streamline the program management process, I focused on developing efficient workflows, using six sigma methodologies, that optimized resource allocation and minimized bottlenecks. Establishing stage gate reviews, managing project dependencies, and prioritizing tasks allowed for smoother project progression and on-time delivery.

 

Version Control and Archiving:

In a dynamic creative environment, version control and archiving were paramount. I implemented effective version control systems to ensure that project iterations were well-documented and readily accessible. After project closure, I oversaw meticulous archiving and backup processes, safeguarding valuable project assets for future reference and potential reuse. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) were written to cement successful process steps for consistency and onboarding purposes.

 

Long-Term Program Management:

Some of the programs I managed extended over 6 to 9 years, continuously evolving with new products being added regularly. These ongoing programs required a strategic approach to adapt to changing market dynamics, technology advancements, and global expansion. Managing these programs across different languages and regions, including the Americas, Europe, and Asia, was an intricate and rewarding challenge.
